A young squirrel looks out through a knothole in a tree in Sharon Woods Metro Park
near Columbus, Ohio. This is the same squirrel and the same tree that was in an image
posted seven weeks ago, but the underbrush that partially blocked the earlier shot (below)
has lost its leaves or has been nibbled lower by deer. The new image is the best of the
two because it shows the squirrel's "hands" and its pink lower lip. Additional animal
images are in my Birds and Animals gallery.
