Union Station arches

Washington, DC view map

Travelers walk beneath the arches in the open hall that runs along the front
of Union Station, the historic train station in Washington, DC, as the afternoon
sun shines through the external arches at the left. This image was taken facing
west, with the main entrance of Union Station right behind me. Opened in 1907,
Union Station today serves as the home of fine restaurants and shops in addition
to remaining a transportation center. A second image of the arched open hallway
is below. Additional images from Washington, DC are in my Cities gallery.
