Message from Hélio Cristóvão
Helio Cristóvão is a Nature and Landscape photographer, based in Sintra, Portugal, but in the last 7 years has been developing professional activity between all the Alentejo and Lisbon regions. He was born in the village of Alenquer. The connection with the mountain sceneries, plain and sea coast where he usually photographs is inseparable, since he´s been evolving in his technique, he is in constant movement traveling in Portugal, in search of good light, exploring, and photographing in sceneries of natural beauty.
The way as he composes with light, the dramatism in the Nature and the aesthetics and composition of his images, they are revealed of a style of photography in the most artistic and interpretative side of scenery and natural details. The moments of light that he catches are the result of a focused and insistent mind, trying to catch and to transport the energy and emotion for the photography.
Hélio´s place of interest to photograph are essentially Cape Roca (Westernmost Continental Europe), Estrela and Gerês National Park Mountains, and Southwest Algarve and Alentejo Seascapes.
At present time, he writes articles for Portuguese national magazines, he´s developing several projects, exhibitions and workshops and has available his images for sale to the audience and private art collectors.
