Red and Gold

Washington, D.C.

I work at home for a Turkish newspaper and get up at the crack of dawn (well, before that, actually) every day to get online. I usually don't even know what the weather is like, but today I happened to take a break and look through the bedroom window down at our dogwood (which we had planted almost 20 years ago before we moved overseas). The color and light nearly took my breath away, so I grabbed my new H5 and ran downstairs, feeling guilty about playing hookey from work but trying quickly to capture the moment. I might try to take this again, but it's unlikely I'll catch it at such a spectacular point in time.

That's quite spectacular! Would be hard to get again, with both
light through the leaves and light on the branches.
