I lived in Camp Boone housing from 62-64. We had a tomb like this maybe 8 feet from the LR wall. Had another one behind us shaped like the womb or some say turtle. I used to sneak up and watch as the families came to visit. I was 15 yrs old. My dad was stationed at the Naha naval air facility. I graduated from Kubasaki high school just before it moved away from Naha Wheel.

Additional memories are coming back. We lived near Futema Marine Air Station and when we came down to Highway #1 we were very near to Camp Boone, if my memory serves me right. It was a long time ago.

This looks just like the tomb behind our house when our family lived on Okinawa 1969-1971. We lived near, I think a village called Oyama or Ojama? Does anybody remember such a place?
