US consul general’s residence, Okinawa

We went to Okinawa to visit a friend who was serving as US consul general to Okinawa at the time. Little did we know that in 2000 Tim would be named consul general and that this would become our home. It was a beautiful house, much larger than it looks here, which came with a live-in housekeeper/cook and was perfect for the extensive entertaining we had to do. It overlooked Marine Corps Air Station Futenma and had a beautiful view of the island and sea.
