Now it’s Marilyn watching over the city

The Marilyn Monroe mural was painted by John Bailey in 1981 and restored to its original vibrance in 2001. It has gained fame as a Washington, D.C., landmark and is a stop on tourist tours around the city.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

Good choice by the artist to have her chin raised so that she can look over the building.

Sometimes difficult to spot them but they are great. We have several of this murals high above the houses.
