Shoveler giving us the eye

There were also some shovelers at Constitution Gardens that day, but on the far side of the lake so not so easy to photograph.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Its slightly iridescent head is a fine colour match to the rippled water, and that eye ... a fine photo indeed.

What a great head-on shot of this shoveler especially with light on the eye - not easy to catch them not shoveling!
