That eye

Another portrait from our visit to the National Mall, this time of one of the cormorants that were sharing the waters with the geese and ducks. This gallery won’t be in any kind of chronological order, just pictures I liked from the afternoon. This image, unlike the previous one of the heron, is heavily cropped.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are definitely unsharp.

Didn't knowthere were cormorants as far North as DC! I learned in Florida they the reason they spread their wings in the sun like that. is to dry them since there is very little natural oils in them! A superb shot Helen
