We watched them on TV

Just posting this for fun. We didn’t go down to the National Mall to see the fireworks – too far, too hot, too much security, too many people. Gone are the days when we could just walk 11 blocks to the US Capitol and watch them from there. That area is now blocked off to the public due to security concerns.

When I was a kid, our family would go to D.C. for the 4th of July most summers. Always too hot. LOL :) Happy 4th to you.
