105 degree F lily

Another of the lilies in our front garden, taken this morning in 105 degree “feel like” temperatures due to the high humidity. I’ve never liked the plants when not blooming, but sure appreciate them when they do.

Interestingly enough, living in Saudi Arabia for three years really must have affected my perception of heat because I just went outside, and IMO it isn't bad at all. And one hasn't experienced real humidity until one spends a week in July in Oman ;-).

A beautiful image with the arabesques of the petals and the "stained glass window" effect on the beautifully lit background ! BV.

So beautiful. Gorgeous color! Very nicely shot. I agree that Day Lilies don't look like much without their flowers, but the flowers are so beautiful that they add to Summer.

Wow, you're now getting the temperatures that we've had for a large part of Spring/Summer. Oman must REALLY be hot & humid if you think that a heat index of 105 degrees doesn't feel that bad.

Nice shot of the lily with gorgeous colors. Nice that you got it now since not sure how long it will last in that heat.

Yes...they're not very pretty when they're not blooming, but in bloom like this, they're quite beautiful and cheery. We used to have wild double daylilies like this in our garden back on Long Island. Every July they'd faithfully bloom.

rich colour, although looking a tad droopy.....no wonder in your high temps..

The day lilies don't mind the heat, so we use them in our flower beds quite often. This one is so pretty!! And I especially like the green dappled background. V
