This will be the last picture from the National Arboretum, such a beautiful place, especially in spring. Thanks for all the comments and votes on the gallery! There are azaleas in bloom there until July, the USDA says on the site, so who knows, we might go back again before the season is over.
About my comment on the previous picture concerning a sign warning of raw sewage, we’ve concluded there’s no way it’s being dumped in that pond. Tim thought perhaps there were pipes under or near it that were leaking, which makes sense because the District’s sewage treatment plant is right across the river in Anacostia.
