Missing something

Tim took this picture on his way to the dentist this morning, and I’m posting it because it’s both worrisome and bizarre.

In the middle of the night somebody had stolen two wheels from this car, and two from the SUV across the street. For some unknown reason, they put the car on bricks. This happened just around the corner from our house, and now I’ve insisted that he lock our gate every night. We know the man and dog who live in that house, but I guess they heard nothing of what was going on.

Interestingly, Tim found a lug that looked just like these in front of the dentist’s office and called the police.

Enjoying the balmy weather, posted earlier

Sometimes people stink! Looks like a new car too.

That is indeed very disturbing. I'm always amazed at how silent they are. A long time ago, my car was stolen from right in front of my house with a tow truck and no one, including me or my family heard. So sad. Excellent image of it though. ~V~

This is the DC that I remember...was almost assaulted there a few times, but I told them they had better back off... I was physically able to take care of myself in those days.....V

Happens more frequently than you think. There was a similar incident here at the airport parking garage - people came back from a vacation and their SUV was missing 2 wheels. In the airport parking garage!!!

I have often wondered why our cars have locking wheel-nuts....reminds me of long ago in Nairobi where if you wanted a car part you didn't go to a factor, but park in River Road and ask the nearest loiterer, who would arrive with it within a couple of minutes, hum

How horrible. I hope the owner is well insured. Well documented.
