The former Capitol Hill Hospital, 'now leasing'

The Eastern Dispensary Casualty Hospital was built in 1904, with additions in 1928 and 1956, operating under the name of the Specialty Hospital of Washington and Capitol Hill Hospital. It was recently converted into 143 luxury apartment units, although there is still a working hospital in the rear.

The apartments are renting from between $2,000 and $5,500 per month, and pictures of interiors can be seen at http://www.borgermanagement.com/700-constitution-washington-dc/floorplans

A good view of the rather institutional feeling building - wouldn't want to live there!

T don't think I would like the vibe from hospital past. I'm happy to see the place preserved. Very stately. V

What a beautiful old building that reminds me so much of HUP in Philly! Great architecture and photo! V

Not cheap then. Interesting to see that old buildings are being converted into apartments in the US as well as the UK.
