The last part of the US Botanic Garden’s Season’s Greenings display featured plant-based D.C. landmarks in the Garden Court. Some of them I had photographed last year but am posting new pictures of them here.
The dome of the Library of Congress, Thomas Jefferson Building, is made from gourd, grape tendrils, seagrass twine, chestnut bark, magnolia fruit stems, acorn caps, tree fern, basket cane and pine cone scales.
