Today was the annual "Museum Day," when some museums around the country offer free entry. We have been wanting to return to the Newseum here in Washington, but with an entrance fee of $24.95, we just couldn't bring ourselves to pay that in a city where most museums are free. It’s a fascinating interactive museum dedicated to the First Amendment Rights of the US Constitution – freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition. It's especially important now because I believe some of these rights are under threat.
The previous picture is an outside view of the museum which I wasn’t able to retake today.
