Chinese juniper, in training since 1975

We visited the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum at the National Arboretum, reputed to hold one of the finest collections of miniature masterpieces in North America, with bonsai originating from Japan and penjing from China.

I guess one can't buy such a creation - nevermind the price for the work that has gone into it - because it is a living creation that has no existence independent of the artist.
