View from the escalator (3/3)

Well, we went back yet again to the exhibit titled “orchids: A MOMENT” at the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden as I can’t seem to get enough of these beautiful orchids on display. We were talking to a guard who said this has to be one of the greatest collections of orchids we’ll ever see in Washington and that it’s constantly changing because they replace the displays every two days. I think that’s probably staggered since we recognized some orchids from last weekend, but there were new ones, too. I guess this gallery will continue for a while longer ;-).

When I complained to the guard that I couldn’t photograph the upper levels of orchids, he suggested trying them from the escalator, which I did. Should have gone back for a second trip, but it was just too much of a hassle ;-).

This one is best viewed in original size.
