Complementary colors

Well, we went back yet again to the exhibit titled “orchids: A MOMENT” at the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden as I can’t seem to get enough of these beautiful orchids on display. We were talking to a guard who said this has to be one of the greatest collections of orchids we’ll ever see in Washington and that it’s constantly changing because they replace the displays every two days. I think that’s probably staggered since we recognized some orchids from last weekend, but there were new ones, too. I guess this gallery will continue for a while longer ;-).

This was one of my favorites from today, a new display for sure.

It is just amazing the variety of Orchids there are. The ones sold at the stores are
often similar and not a lot to choose from but the ones you have shown in this
gallery are so exotic and rarely seen. This one particularly is beautiful. V
