Says Subramaniam: “Eager to photograph a colorful gecko, I made several trips to Hawaii. The gold dust geckos are very shy, very playful, and stay in constant motion. After much searching, I finally saw the perfect lizard on a tropical plant stem and got the picture I had imagined.”
