Vacuuming the streets of DC

This is DC’s leaf vacuuming team. They go around all the districts twice every fall and vacuum up leaves that residents have left either in the tree boxes or in the gutter. I put mine out for the garbage man last week because I didn’t want them blowing all over the place so I’d have to sweep them up yet again.

Just a little mosque, posted earlier:

Same thought as Jim, do they make a domestic version for home use? V

It's a great service. I missed the leaf pick up this year . 😬

Yes, it nice to see your tax money at work, Helen, and nicer still when it makes a great street scene

A really cool street scene, Helen. I like the way the sunlight illuminates the orange tree and vacuum and the shadow it creates in the lower left.

We have the same service here, but you are right about the leaves blowing all over before the vacuum gets to them. My husband mows ours, which seems to work out very well. V

good to see vacuum being used on a effective scale; I get so annoyed seeing people in UK using leafblowers

I wonder if they would do that to my yard?????

Cool fall scene, well seen from the upper level. Nice to see the street where you live, Helen, are all the houses that narrow? V.

A great idea, wish they did that where we live,

Looks like a hard job with all the cars. Nice shot, Helen.
