A different world

This was taken at a newly expanded and reopened Apple Store in Arlington, where I decided I wanted to get the new iPhone with the better camera, but unfortunately they are backordered for like months. While we were waiting for a sales associate who never came, I was struck by what a different world kids are growing up in these days.

In answer to Nirvan's question about the writing on his hat:

DRUMPF
Make Donald Drumpf again (not sure about that last word, wish I had saved my other pictures)

My one flower, posted earlier:

Apple iPhone 6S
1/30s f/2.2 at 4.2mm iso8000 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Problem is some folks believe everything they read on their device is true and have no clue about things outside their device :-(

Love his hat! Toddlers are using iPads now. Great candid capture. V

Great trying to keep up with the ever-increasing speed of new technology! You do a fine job already with your iphone6. Technology - handy if one keeps a balance. Wish I could read a word on the man's hat - 'ducky'? dumpy?!

At least father and son are spending time together. It's amazing how comfortable and knowledgeable these kids are with all these electronic devices. The challenge is not trading human for electronic interactions. V

This is true about today's kids Helen. Everything is electronic! Hope you are able to replace your phone soon!V

This is a very strong capture, Helen. It shows a reality which is worrying...! V

Cool candid of life's reality for a lot of people. V

Excellent study of what children are doing these days. My own grandchildren are limited to 25 minutes a day on their iPads, but they still know more than I do! It's best when parents place limits on device time, but not all do.

I am also amazed how things have changed in the last few years.V.

their affection is touching, and apparently the guy behind is missing a younger, brighter brain to help with techno-appraisal.understanding...in the end a grim image of where society is going...

Our world has changed in a big way where electronics are involved.. Nice candid, Helen..

Although Tom's suggestion has merit, what happens to the kid who can't handle a phone or other device when he gets to school

I think it would be better if they were out playing in a mud puddle. Nice shot.
