We attended the Grand Floral Parade, the highlight of the Portland Rose Festival, on Saturday. I haven’t been to a parade in a long time and really just went for something to photograph, but in the end was glad that I did. Living overseas as much as we have, it’s easy to forget what America and its people are all about, but this very multiethnic event was a good reminder.
The wagon and Dalmatian mascot pulled by the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales (previous picture and below). I simply couldn’t get all eight of them plus the wagon in the frame from my limited space on the street. The Dalmatian was amusing to watch, running back and forth on the top of the wagon.
