We attended the Grand Floral Parade, the highlight of the Portland Rose Festival, on Saturday. I haven’t been to a parade in a long time and really just went for something to photograph, but in the end was glad that I did. Living overseas as much as we have, it’s easy to forget what America and its people are all about, but this very multiethnic event was a good reminder.
A warrior, but I’m not sure what tribe he was from or who he was representing. It could be the Happy Canyon Chiefs of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, which some of the images that follow are.
