One of the reasons we returned to Tokyo was to visit with old friends. My first job there had been teaching English at the government veterinary facilities in Yokohama (where we first lived). I kept the job all the time we were in Tokyo and also tutored some of the students privately. These were some of the veterinarians who I taught; missing is my dear friend Mr. Kamakawa, who must have taken the picture, but his wife Akemi and son Ryo are at right. They weren’t even married when I first met them! Although we corresponded for a long time, I’m afraid we have finally lost touch, 25 years after I started teaching there.
