I am really being discharged today, so am going to post what I hope are the last pictures I will ever take of this hospital (well, except maybe on follow-up visits).

This is Vanessa, a member of the janitorial staff who cleans my room so nicely every day. We have had a chance to talk a bit, and she showed me pictures of her little daughter who is back in the Philippines. There is a fear among expat nurses working here that their children won’t remember them, or won’t identify them as being their mother when they finally finish their contracts in Saudi Arabia (and even on vacations back home).
