On our way back to Doha we stopped at Al-Wakrah, a seaside town that had an old souk under restoration and a promenade full of outdoor cafés. Apparently it’s the “in” place for city folks to come and unwind. I tried to get some pictures of Qataris since most of my previous galleries of Doha are only architecture. It’s just hard to do that in a country where people don’t want to be photographed and you don’t want to draw any more attention to yourself than you already have. Anyway, I guess I got the backs of some people while there ;-).
One of several shots of the boats here, new with a traditional style.
