Out of sync

The other day we were driving around southern Riyadh, not far from the DQ, to see what was there. I remembered having seen a very affluent neighborhood one evening a while ago and also wanted to revisit it in daylight. This will just be a series of captures of the houses there, many of which are still under construction. Maybe I’ll make a small gallery for the afternoon, but don’t have time to now and not sure I have enough decent pictures to make one anyway!

I found these ultra-modern blocks quite interesting and a huge contrast to the other enormous, elegant homes in the neighborhood.

A change of pace, posted earlier:

I wonder if these are homes for the many princes in waiting. Voted.

What a contrast between the old style and these modern style houses. I like them too.

It seems like a place with many secrets. The POV is excellent. V

Quite strange ! And so barren - looks like speed bumps being installed !!! V

Very nice but where are the people? Do they stay out of the heat or what? Vote.

One design feature that I find missing in many of these buildings is windows. Is that on purpose to keep sand and heat out or is there another reason?

Modern living and repeated design, not sure I would want to live there!
