A real oasis in the desert

We had been to this wild area on the border of the DQ once before, but hadn’t seen this large pond that had palm trees and other vegetation growing in it. As explained in some previous pictures, Sahraa jumped in, expecting it to be shallow like a fountain, but it was pretty deep, and so she had her first experience of swimming and then couldn’t get out on her own. Actually, I don’t think she has ever been so wet in all her life!

Back in Morocco, goatherd and young goat in the argan orchard, posted earlier:

I think swimming would come pretty naturally; sympathise with not being able to get out

How funny. I had a boxer that discovered he could not swim when he leaped from a dock. I had to go in for the rescue.

This is so nice. She doesn't look to be in a panic at all - just enjoying the water.
