Parting glance (2)

I’m ending this short gallery with two pictures, the same scene but one taken by me with the D810 and the other taken by Tim with the now-drowned Sony RX1. I liked them both equally well and couldn’t make up my mind which to post, so both of them.

Thanks for all the interest in this gallery, which I never intended to do, but it was a marvelous place to visit, and posting just a few pictures in the main gallery didn’t really do it justice. I still have a lot of Morocco to get through; at least I won’t be able to claim for probably a month that I have nothing to photograph and nothing new to post!

Tim’s picture, which gets a large part of the ruins in view:

Tim's alignment is faultless, yet your image has a touch more verve...two wonderful and enticing images.....V

I think the D810 concentrates it nicely with the middle ground to give scale

Well, you win this time. I prefer yours because of the foreground composition.

Very well composed shot, I don't think you could have gotten any more of the ruins into the fame. V

They certainly chose a great place to build with that view!
