On our final day in Salalah, we traveled west of the city, towards the Yemeni border, to Al Mughsail. These were the only people we saw on the very long beach there, situated on what Lonely Planet described as “Oman’s most spectacular bay.” The cliffs that were obscured by a sandstorm in a picture posted earlier from the other end of the beach are quite clear close up.
