The famous Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon is reportedly Iceland’s top tourist attraction. It’s a spa fed by water heated by the Svartsengi geothermal plant which is rich in blue-green algae, mineral salts and silica mud. We didn’t go in to the pool but just walked around to see what all the hype was about. I’m sure it would have been relaxing, but personally I think Iceland’s natural wonders are the main attraction.

This was a group visiting the spa that had something to do with the police and the Icelandic Paralympics. Tim managed to identify them while we were there, but I can’t seem to find them now online.
