The famous Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon is reportedly Iceland’s top tourist attraction. It’s a spa fed by water heated by the Svartsengi geothermal plant which is rich in blue-green algae, mineral salts and silica mud. We didn’t go in to the pool but just walked around to see what all the hype was about. I’m sure it would have been relaxing, but personally I think Iceland’s natural wonders are the main attraction.

I wouldn't vote it the top attraction but it is fascinating.

Wow! What a place. I suppose the natural heating and the plant minerals are a feature in themselves. Quite a huge pool and a great photo!

This has a feeling of the Hungarian baths!
The water has an interesting color and smoothness about it.
Great and interesting shot Helen! V
