This was taken from the car, not in the downtown area but not outside the city, either. It’s a new housing development, which like many others, seems to appear in the middle of nowhere. It’s quite normal to see a beautiful house fronted by a desolate vacant lot, or a neighborhood surrounded by sand. Of course, I imagine roads will be built around, it, but it's still in the middle of the desert.
