Sandy sunset

Although this sunset was taken through the car windshield, this is the color it really was due to all the sand in the air. We were driving back home when suddenly this ghostly sun appeared in the sky, and I grabbed my camera to try to capture it. I got two shots, with some difficulty in even getting a decent angle on it, but immediately afterwards it sank even lower into the murky sky and was almost obscured from view by the sand.

Quick thinking to get the shot, the light is rather eerie though.

I can imagine the sandstorms can be pretty dramatic. They certainly make the sun look strange here.
