Hi Helen, just back from Germany(the Elbe region) Just like in Budapest and other cities so much damage and devastation. Every village I passed thru was filling sandbags to strengthen the dikes. What people do not see on Tv are all the little villages that are not famous. Many off them are completely lost. I could reach the place where I had booked my Hotel and where the steam event took place. I did not go to see the water but donated money.
