Roman walls, Gothic cathedral

View of four Roman towers (fourth century) and Barcelona Cathedral. The two rounded towers on the right are the towers of the Porta Praetoria. This was taken in the Barri Gňtic (Gothic Quarter), under whose medieval and modern buildings lie the remains of the Roman city of Barcino, founded by Augustus Caesar in 10 B.C. Thanks to Jose Antonio for helping me identify just what I was looking at!

Very nice capture with this mix of styles. Great optical effect from this perspective, it seems as if the cathedral spires were part of the ancient walls. V

An interesting combination of architectural styles in this image. I like the diffused lighting and all the people in movement. "V"
