Revisit, windmill, Great Hungarian Plain

We returned to the Skanzen Open-Air Museum on Easter Monday to try to see some village traditions, in particular where young women are doused with buckets of water by young men on this particular day. We unfortunately missed that, but enjoyed seeing the rest of the park that we had missed the first time around. We could have driven to Hollókő http://www.pbase.com/helenpb/holloko where I know this tradition still survives, but we weren't sure what time it would happen, and with the snow still on the ground out in many parts of the country, it was just going to be too much trouble.

A great looking Windmill. Looks very much to the brick ones we have here in Flanders. The mechanism to turn the head of the windmill looks very simple in comparison to ours.

fine looking mill and in good condition....I am sure you would have no trouble finding a young man to throw buckets of water over you

You missed the "Dyngus Day" tradition :-)

That is a lovely picture, and that mill seems very large.
Hope you missed the water treatment!
