Church of St. Barbara, above high altar

I would have loved to have left more of the scene in, but the windows on either side were just too blown out at this high ISO necessary for the altar.

This church dates to 1394-1399 and is said to have been constructed from bricks left over from the Church of St. Mary, which is right next door. We had tried to visit this church on our last trip to Kraków, but it was just too crowded with tour groups. This time there wasn't a soul (or maybe a person) in it.

As I have told you, details! You are great at it. Rich and elegant ornamentation and I do not mind the windows. It looks great as it is. V

It's certainly ornate. Maybe the bricks were leftovers but they didn't scrimp on the craftsmanship.
