In need of restoration

The neighborhood that Keleti train station is located in is the poorest in Budapest. It has some lovely buildings, but unfortunately they haven't been restored for the most part.

Great details and light. It definitely could be a beautiful building if restored. I do remember this neighborhood very well ... it was my first sight of Budapest. V

Even in a state of disrepair this is still a magnificent historical building, perfectly captured by you. V

A lot of potential here, still can see the beautiful work even though it's in need of restoration. A fine shot, Helen. V

Imagine how gorgeous this will be once it's restored! :) V

Hopefully they will be restored. In some senses, the eastern European countries retained more of the original architecture than the west. I think we were too quick in the 1970s to tear down old buildings and replace with souless concrete boxes.

In some ways it is interesting to see the building unrestored. V.

Helen, yes, they need restoring, but you present us with such an interesting capture showing how they have held up. Fantastic POV. Thank you showing us these buildings. You do have an "eye". Well seen. V.

Though in need of restoration, I do like the image of the building in this state with these textures and colors. "V"
