Palace of Culture and Science

Built in 1952-55, this enormous buildings "was a gift for the people of Warsaw from the nations of the USSR," according to my guidebook. It adds: "Despite the passage of time, this symbol of Soviet domination still provokes extreme reactions, from admiration to demands for its demolition."

We had seen a similar building in Riga http://www.pbase.com/helenpb/image/145070510

It certainly conveys a feeling of domination. Well shot from this angle. Very nice details. "V"
