Hill of Three Crosses

Landmark and symbol of Vilnius. The current structure is a replacement for the monument destroyed by the Soviets. Originally, three wooden crosses were erected here in the 16th century to commemorate Franciscan friars tortured and murdered by a pagan rabble.
