Church of St. Catherine

Unfortunately the high altar was undergoing restoration, but I thought it interesting that they had a picture of it on the tarp covering it up. At least it gives an idea of how magnificent it was.

This church was built as penance by King Kazimierz the Great for having murdered a priest who was delivering an notice of excommunication to the king.

Fabulous! It's hard to tell where the tarp begins and the authentic cathedral ends. Europeans are famous for these types of tarps! V
