Gyula Castle (mid-15th century)

This is the last remaining medieval castle on the Great Plain. It may not be that huge, but it certainly is massive.

We lost our beautiful sun for a while, as always seems to happen when we travel. Actually, as we were driving out of town, it started pouring, even though there was blue sky and sun all around. As soon as we drove a bit, we got out from under the cloud and it was lovely again. No rainbows in sight, though.

An imposing form and what looks to be the ideal POV

Massive and formidable from this well chosen angle. The turbulent sky works very well with this. "V"

A great capture of this castle, Helen. But where are the windows! BV
