Sahraa the tunneler 1: The sight that greeted me

One day I went out onto the veranda and saw plants and dirt flying into the air. Sahraa had been digging a hole in a flowerbed, after I had insisted to the gardener last year that another hole had to have been done by rodents. This was proof that the culprit had been Sahraa. He filled it in. Again and again. Then one day, she had been at her favorite outdoor endeavor and had dug a tunnel. It measured one and a third meters. We don't know where she was going (China?), but she obviously had a mission. The gardener just filled it in and said it was good for her digging abilities. He suggested putting sand in the hole so she could improve her muscle tone... So at least once a week, she takes all the dirt out again and tries to make a bit more progress towards her unknown destination.

Sahraa is a great architect, Helen, I agree with Kevin that she was really busy!

Wow! That is quite some excavation Helen. I love that the gardener fills it in so Sahraa has her fun time and exercise!
