In honor of the onion

We returned to Makó today, in poor weather, naturally. I had missed the town's sculpture honoring the crop that it's famous for in Hungary the first time we were here and was determined to capture it this time. While I was photographing it, we heard a man on a balcony across the street laughing. I guess he thought it hilarious that somebody would do this ;-).

Lovely presentation of this organic shape. I hope it didn't bring on any tears. V

I had seen a monument to a potatoe, a kiwi, a banana, but never to an onion. Great shot
