Roman Catholic church

It was quite a long drive to this very small village from Budapest, but I wanted to see this Roman Catholic church by the late famous Hungarian organic architect Imre Makovecz. Unfortunately, the church was in poor condition, but I imagine it must have been striking when first built.

For images on the architect's site as to how it used to look and what the interior actually looks like, see http://eloepiteszet.hu/?q=hu/makovecz-imre/petohenye-katolikus-templom

Yes, very unusual, but so refreshing.
