Secessionist architect Ödön Lechner's house in Buda

This was designed and lived in (the loft at the top) by the famous Hungarian architect Ödön Lechner in the Secession style, a variation of Art Nouveau that incorporates elements of Hungarian folk art and which became the Hungarian national style. Masterpieces by Lechner include the Geology Institute, the Postal Savings Bank, Szent Laszlo Church, a villa, Kecskemet City Hall and the Applied Arts Museum

Neat and clean lines and curves in this architecture. Lovely rhythm to the patterns. V
