Last week the top glass shelf of this display cabinet came crashing to the ground, along with my absolute favorite piece of glass and a piece of Hungarian crystal (which amazingly enough survived). Apparently the metal bracket holding up the shelf wasn't properly affixed to the wood, plus the shelves were too short for the space, and with enough moving of glass on it, it simply gave way. Good thing I was standing two feet away from it as the shelf would have impaled anybody close to it. I was devastated about my favorite vase, which apparently cannot be replaced. I decided to repopulate the shelves with Hungarian crystal for the most part, and this is the result.
