Armenian, Chelaberd

A friend met with some woman in the mountains of Armenia and managed to bring it back to Turkey. A bit loud but interesting variation on the traditional Caucasian eagle design.

This design is actually called Chelaberd, possibly a corruption of a place name in southern Karabagh. The design has been inaccurately called in the past Eagle Khazak. Some say this is the most widely rcognized of all Caucasion carpet designs.
